New Delhi, July 31, 2025 – From a humble background in Madhya Pradesh, Kranti Goud has risen to become a beacon of hope and inspiration in Indian women’s cricket. With a stunning performance in a recent ODI match against England, Kranti not only led her team to a crucial victory but also emerged as a role model for millions of aspiring young female athletes across the country.
In the second ODI at Indore, Kranti shocked cricket analysts and fans alike by taking 6 wickets for just 52 runs, earning the title of Player of the Match. Her deadly yorker that clean bowled England’s star Alice Capsey was hailed as “world-class”.
“I played each delivery like it was my last chance to prove myself,” Kranti said tearfully after the match.
Born in a poor farming family in Seoni, Kranti trained under extremely limited conditions. She practiced with bricks in place of cricket balls का ran several kilometers daily to reach the only cricket ground in the area.
Her parents, despite financial struggles, always supported her cricket dreams.
“My father once sold our only bicycle just to buy me cricket shoes,” she recalled.
Kranti’s ambitions stretch far beyond personal glory. She plans to establish a free cricket academy for underprivileged girls in her hometown. Her mission is to offer opportunities to young talents who lack the resources to chase their sporting dreams.
“I used to wish someone would help me. Now, I want to be that someone for others.”
Former India captain Mithali Raj described Kranti as a “natural talent” and predicted that she will anchor India’s bowling attack in the next five years. ESPN analysts have also tipped her for a spot in India’s squad for the 2026 Women’s World Cup.
